Fundraiser yields $8,400 for Senior Center
The line for the senior center event went down the hall, but the $8,400 raised by the event may not be enough to re-open the center. Kathleen Cromp, the center's executive director, said they need to raise about $200,000 in order to re-open.
However, the outpouring of grassroots support help spark commitment from other donors. If you're one of them, call Cromp at 206-461-7825.
Local restaurants who donated food: Selena’s Guadalajara, Rusty Pelican, Ivar’s Salmon House, Trophy Cupcakes (who also donated three Raffle items) and Essential Baking Company.
